Saving email password

I am unable to get Outlook 2000 to save the passwords for
my Pop accounts. I am running windows XP home edition.
I have selected "save my password" in the email account
setup, but it continues to prompt me for the password.

The problem you are experiencing is normally due to the Registry containing incorrect information for the Protected Storage System Provider registry subkey for your account.
