Saving downloaded uptdates

Does anyone know of a way to save the downloaded updates
on a hardisk or CD to use at a later date after
reformating my C: Drive?

You can open windows update,personalize update,select show catalo
and save settings,then in catalog,updates for xp,select the updates and save the
to a cd,you can keep adding to the cd.
