Saving documents under different names

I have a memo template that I would like to prompt me to
save under a different name every time I open it and click
on save.

How is the best way to do this?

From the way you have worded your question the implication is that you are
not using this template correctly. templates are document pro-forma layouts.
You create a new document from the layout. The document will not be named
until you save it. You should not be opening the template, altering it and
saving it with a new name - unless you are trying to create lots of similar
templates.
