saving attachments in Outlook 2000

When saving attachments, if not designated, they go to the OLK1BE folder.
Then sometimes you can never find the file or when opened it doesn't have
the changes made. Is there a way to change the default location for saving
attachments?

Recommended; Save the message to the desired location instead of opening it
directly from the mailbox
Not recommended; change the default OutlookSecureTempFolder location in the
registry;
HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Office\9.0\Outlook\Security
