Saving .asp files in Front Page 2003

I have recently become unable to save *.asp files to my web site in Front
Page 2003 on my laptop only. I have no trouble saving .htm or other files on
my laptop. Previously they would save fine, and I hadn't added any new
programs or changed any settings. I have no trouble with the same .asp files
on a different computer with Front Page 2003. Both are running in Windows XP
Home updated and FP 2003 is updated. When I try to save a file the lower bar
says Processing file C:|Documents and Settings\Brian\Local Settings\Temporary
Internet Files\FrontPageTempDir\......tmp for a while then changes to
Requesting Data and just hangs and I have to eventually close. I have cleared
my temporary internet files, history files, cookies, deleted *.web and *.tmp
and deleted all files in the above directory. All of the Front Page and IE 6
options are the same in both computers.

Eventually an error box comes up "could not find the web server at www......
on port 80 ....". I repeat that this only happens when saving .asp files and
there is no problem opening the web site from the server in FP or saving
other files.

Check for Firewall settings that may be blocking .asp files

Thanks for the suggestion, but the only Firewall I have is Windows firewall
and when I turn it off the problem is still there.
