Saving archived emails?

Nigel Molesworth

I'm plan to install Office 2007 on my Vista PC, but without Outlook:
Windows Mail and Calendar do all I need.

I've imported all my emails into Outlook Express, and then to Windows
Mail, but OE won't import the Archive Folders (pst files).

Is there a way I can save the contents of the archives in eml format?

Cracked it! Move messages from Archive Folders to new sub-folder in
Inbox, *then* import into OE, and thence to Windows Mail.

He didn't say they do everything Outlook does.

He said Windows Mail and Calendar do everything he needs and I agree with
that except that I would have left Windows Calendar out. Outlook doesn't
have any features that are useful to me that I can't find in Windows Mail.

Whereas I would be completely lost without Outlook - one man's meat, etc.
