i tryed saving a image from ie but i could only save images in BMP format,how
do i save gif or jpg images?.

You may see this behavior if the IE cache is overbloated.

In IE, go to Tools/Internet Options/General Tab an click the Delete Files button. This will clear the cache and should enable you to download the images in their native format like .jpg and .gif files.

Also if it will only save as .bmp then open it in your 'paint' program and
then resave it as a .gif or .jpg... that usually works too! good luck with
