save ppt on CD to work with it on different computer

I am trying to get the ppt presentation on a CD-RW to work on at a different
computer. I know I can not package ppt on a RW but I am not ready to package
and would like to add on slides and work. Can I save it and get a file that
is not a READ-ONLY... thanks so much.

Nope, cd-files are always read only. Have to copy them to the harddrive and
work from there. If you have Nero on your computer you could download InCd,
which allows you to treat a CD-RW as a diskette.
