Save password setting not retained in Windoes Mail. How I can resolve the

If you are sure that you have the correct details, then this problem can be
caused by having your AV application scanning mail etc.

After noting all the account settings. Tools>accounts>select
account>properties>each tab in turn.

You can remove the account>close WM>Reopen WM>and rebuild the account.

You will not lose any mail in the process.

It should be OK until your AV messes it up again.

Since it is no big deal to reinstall BitDefender, why not do
a trial uninstall of it? If no improvement:

Before you decide to switch to Thunderbird, give Windows Live Mail
a try. It will automatically import all your WM stuff, which is a lot
more than what Thunderbird would do.
