save password check box

I cannot get the sign in box to come up with the "save
password" check box, and it will not ask to save password
after typing it in. Useing XP Home with SP1 installed.
Any work around for this?

If you're referring to Internet Explorer, go to Tools, Internet Options, Content, Autocomplete.
