When choosing "Save Movie File" the progress gets to 8% then it stops
increasing while the Time Remaining continues steadily up. When runnign Task
Manager Performance, the CPU usage goes from 100% to 0% at the 8% mark.

The movie itself is about 10 video clips, 2 audio clips, less than 1 minute
long.

I've tried letting choose the optimum performance for my computer, Ive tried
a 40mb High Quality (Large) and Ive tried a 1.8mb dial up selection for
rendering it.

I've searched this newsgroup and a couple of the sites listed, and while I
have come across posts with similar if not the same problems, I have not
found a satisfactory explanation or resolution.

Can anyone shed some light on this? :)

This is a new computer, I checked for windows updates, its a 128m video
card, if that has any effect on anything.

Also, I notice that while playing in the preview during the actual creation
of the video, it seems very low quality and laggy. In fact, if I choose Slow
Down visual effect on the clip, the clip plays normal speed and the movie
locks up for the second half of that particular clip, and it takes several
seconds after to pick up again.

Thanks in advance for the help :)

-Also note-

I grabbed a 2 second clip and 2 second audio bit from that project and
compiled them as a seperate projext with a total file size of 336kb. It
compiled quickly and played back as expected.

Is there perhaps some problem with virtual memory where a larger (though not
exceedingly large compared to other movies I have seen exampled with this
program) movie that would take several minutes to render freezes?
