save files when word opens

Is there any way to force the user to save a file when Word opens instead of
saving the file prior to closing the file/application?
 
What would be the point? When the file first opens there are no changes to be
saved. Or do you mean requiring the user to name & save a _new_ file before
being able to enter any content?
