Save doesn't remember review setting

Every time I open this word document I have to go to the Review tab then
change the pull down from Final-Showing Markup to Final

I save the document and re-open and it does not remember that I changed that.

Is there a way to make it remember?

Word will always open showing the markup as long as there is any. This is
for your protection, to save you the embarrassment of sending out or
printing a document containing tracked changes or comments. Hiding the
markup does not get rid of it; to do that you must accept all the changes
and delete all the comments.
