Save document question when no changes?

J

Jeff

I have a Word 2002 document that when I open it in Word 2002 and immediately
close it without doing anything, always asks "Do you want to save changes"
even though there is nothing to change. This does not happen with other
documents. Why is this? I checked and "tracking" is not on according to
the status line at the bottom of the document.
Thanks.

Are there links in the document that are being updated automatically on open
as a result of the setting under Tools>Options>General?

I looked into Tools>Options>General and that box is indeed selected. But
this is a document with no links to other documents that I am aware of. It
does have images pasted from Paint Shop Pro but I thought they were not
linked to anything. How do I find out what links might exist?

Thank you.
