Save as Template

For some reason now, when I go to save an Excel document, the default comes
up as a template instead of an Excel workbook.

This doesn't happen all of the time.

Does anyone know what might have caused this to start occurring for me?

2003.............Tools>Options>Transition.

Save files as: change setting to workbook

2007..........Button>Excel Options>Save

Save files in this format: change setting to workbook
