Hello,

I would like to add folders to the list shown in the "Save in" bar which
appears on the left hand side of the box shown as a result of a "Save as"
command/option.

Any help on this would be much appreciated.

The easiest way to do this is with a program available from
Microsoft called TweakUI.

Microsoft PowerToys for Windows XP

Direct Download of TweakUI
http://download.microsoft.com/downl...a6-b352-839afb2a2679/TweakUiPowertoySetup.exe

Once the program is installed, go to Start -> All Programs ->
Powertoys for Windows XP -> TweakUI.
Click the plus sign next to Common Dialogs and click on Places
Bar.
In the right hand pane, select Custom places bar.
You can now change any or all of the 5 default places to ones
of your choosing.

Here are a couple of articles with more info.

Keep in mind that the above information does not apply to any
Microsoft Office products. For that, look at this article.

Good luck
