Save As option in Word

Is there a place you can set where Microsoft Word opens up the save as dialog
box to? What I would like to do is, when I select Save As in Word, it always
opens up to my desktop to save the file in. I would like when I choose the
Save As option to open up a specific folder on a mapped network drive so I
don't always have to select it from the drop down list. I would like the
Save As dialog box to automatically point there as I save 99.99% of my files
to this location.

Is there anyway to set this or do I always have to choose it through the
drop down list?

What version of Word? - That may make a difference. In 2003, go to
Tools>Options>File Locations & set the directory you wish. Just keep in mind
that if you navigate to a different location Word focuses on the latest
until you change again or relaunch the program.
