When I pull up a Word Outlook attachment, file, save as.... it always saves
as to a folder I would never use. Can the default save as folder be
changed????

In Word, click on Tools | Options | File Locations, and modify
the location of the "Documents" folder.

I did that. So, when I have a NEW doc it starts out in "x" folder. Good.

But when I am in Outlook, and "Save As" on a document, it starts the save
out in some obscure location, so that I have to go almost to the desk top and
start over. Overkill. Any ideas g-n-o????

And then it opens to save at "My Documents". Can I change THAT default???

AT: You are a life saver! I took part of what you said, and part of another
guru, and this is what happened:

Let the "Save As" from Outlook take me to "My Doc" folder. From that screen
I click the "Desktop" icon on the left, which visible brings up a shortcut to
the folder I want. It's only 2 or 3 steps, but it sure is a lot better than
what I was doing before.

Kudos to AT and company!!!
