save as gif (doesn't appear)

Hi, I would like to know, how to make the option GIF
appear on the window that opens when we right-click on an
image. I know that we can type: .gif after the file's
name (if the option doesn't appear), but it doesn't work
for animated gifs. I want to save some animated gifs on
my pc, but the option .gif doesn't appear.
