"save as" frameset and pages?

I have a simple frameset called framesetA, with "framesetleftA" and
"framesetmainA"
I want to make changes to both pages, and then "save as" framesetB, with the
pages changed to "framesetleftB" and "framesetmainB).
Can anyone suggest the right order for doing this as I always seem to get
the "A" pages in the "B" frameset and then have to change them "manually"

I have many hundreds of such changes to do and would obviously appreciate a
shortcut!

my first suggestion would be to open the pages from within the set and do
your save as, then the frameset and save as.
but then I thought, why not consider WHY you've got hundreds of framesets
etc.
There are some times when a frame set is appropriate and many more where a
better solution is available.
if you could post a URL for this or more info on what you're doing I could
give you a solid answer.
I'm not "anti-frameset", in fact I like them and wish they didn't get such a
bad rap and have even gone through using JavaScript to try to circumvent
some of the downfalls but in reality there's almost always a better way.

There is now wizard for what looking to do other than
getting or righting a script to do it...it may be time
make your pages dynamic. It's a more work intially but
when it comes time to make changes it pays for itself
over and over.

Chris thanks for the thoughts,
I've been puzzling this for a week or two with great help from everyone
here...
take a look at:

and click alternatively on first 3 thumbnails and then on "offer" or "buy"
The left hand frame details carry all the way through so that a visitor is
always reminded, and has details of the item they're interested in.
I originally started with complicated (for me) javascripts to send the
picture from page to page but got stuck when trying to transfer name and
price that weren't pic's (objects?) - then someone said "frames" and I
thought that's a really good idea why didn't I think of it!

I don't think your frames are necessary at all. all you need is a shopping
cart. I'm using a really good one that took me almost a year to find.
I recently saw a gallery script combined with a shopping cart that might
just be perfect for you.
