"Save As" forgets last folder saved to

Am trying to save a number of web pages to the same folder, and now, each
time I click on Save As, it goes to My Docs, not to the folder I saved to
just a minute before. It therefore seems that XP and/or IE-7 has stopped
remembering the last folder saved to. Have rebooted this Dell Inspirion 9300,
and checked any likely settings, but can't find a way to get this very useful
function working properly again. Not sure if this is an XP function or an
IE-7 function. No other operational problems. Any ideas? Cheers.

A simple Google search reveals the following. Watch for line-wrap in the

Here's a shortened link of the above:

Copy and paste the following command either into the "Run" box on the 'Start
Menu' OR into a 'Command Prompt' window (dos box):

reg ADD "HKCU\Software\Microsoft\Internet Explorer\Main" /v "Save Directory"
/d C:\WINDOWS\Web /f

(*Note - The preceding command should be all on one line but may not appear
so due to line-wrap. Please ensure the command begins with 'reg' and ends
with '/f')

Just replace the string "C:\WINDOWS\Web" with where you want the save folder
to be (if the path you choose has any spaces in it, you must surround it in
double-quotes.).
