Hi All
I have a Maxtor 250 GB SATA hard drive ...I want to use it as my
external hard drive with USB hookup to my computer. So i bought an
enclosure for SATA hard drives. I made hooked up everythng and it was
supposed to be a plug and play but my computer does not read the device
through USB. Could it be a problem with the hard drive itself

Please help me.
Thank you

Thanks Dave for the response. Well i am not really sure. i think it is
not because i just purchased it and took it out of the box. Is there
any way i could check if the hard drive is working or not.
Thanks again Dave.

The problem is when i connect my external enclosure which is SATA to
USB, windows XP doesn't recognize the drive. In the storage i didn't
see any new new drive. Is there any way i can format the external SATA
hard drive?
