I am trying to recover XP Pro. It has been suggested that I load the SATA
drivers when I do the upgrade installation.

I have a GA-8S655FX motherboard, but cannot find the drivers needed to load
at the begining of the installation (F6). Driver must include a txtsetup.oem
file.

Any help?

You should not perform an "upgrade installation".
You need to perform a "Repair Install".

Note: The Serial ATA interface is built into your motherboard
and does not require any additional drivers for SATA drives.

Thanks...I have been trying to do a repair install. It hangs at
"Setup is being restarted..............................."

I cannot seem to get past this.

Running a SATA drive or drives dont require the drivers in F6,that would
only be if two SATA drives are set-up in a RAID configuration. For details

On my PC with a Gigabyte GA8KNXP, a single SATA drive does indeed
require the F6 step to install intel chipset drivers, or else the setup
stalls...unable to find drive.
