sata drive recocnition new build

I am trying to build a new computer and yes I have
a SATA drive and after hitting f6 the windows cd starts loading and then asks
for the floppy with the driver, which I got from Maxtor. I insert the disk I
then get the following, oh by the way I had just purchased the window xp home
edition with sp2 version 2002 which is OEM. The message I get is: file
txtsetup.oem caused error 4096 line 1742
d:\xpsprtm\base\boot\setup\oemdisk.c. Any words of advice?

Maxtor doesnt make controllers,only hds,you need the floppy from the mfg who
made the controller the drives are attached to,usually intel,or silicom
image,or
via,or promise.
