SATA connector is behind the AGP card

you can get a SATA cable with a right angled connector on one end - I take
it the normal straight plug in connector means the cable is obstructed by
the card?

One probably came with the motherboard.
Look in the box for an adapter to fit in one of the card-holes in the
rear of the case.

There was one actually. I was trying to use my old SATA cables. Both
SATA sets have a straight plug, but the ones that came with the new
mobo were shorter and will work.
