sasser worm variant?

my computer running windows xp keeps shutting down even
before displaying my start page, so i cannot access any
commandS including START and RUN. windows sasser solution
in the security web page says that to stop this cycle
you can access these commands and type specific
instructions But, I cant. HELP

Hi,

Start the computer in safe mode by pressing F8 whenit restarts then from
command prompt or start - run then type shutdown -a. Then follow rest of
the process in windows mode by typing win or in dos prompt.
