Same Template, Different Size Font

I am editing multiple PPTs and they all are using the same template. However,
when I am editing I notice that the font sizes aren't the same. When I
attempt to make them the same, the font that "fits" in a particular spot in
one PPT does not fit in another.

Clarification:
There is a red bar across the top and in one PPT you can use 32pt font (with
room to spare), while the other can't fit more than 28pt.

Any ideas to why this is? (The font issue holds true for the entire slide,
not just the red bar part.)

I am using version 2003.

Have you check to ensure the page sizes are consistent? Ie A4, letter,
onscreen?

Which font do you use? Is it installed on every computer? If not, the
program substitutes it with a "similar" font - but that can mean different
character height and width.

Best regards,
Ute

I am using Gill Sans, but it happens on the same computer. I can open PPT 1
and PPT 5 on one machine and they show up differently. I checked two other
machines and they do the same thing. I have even reloaded the template to
see if that would work, but it didn't.

The template wasn't transferring properly for some reason, but I figured out
how to fix it.

Eventhough the program said it was the same page size, it wasn't. They were
different in size.

Thank you all for your help. This is the only board that actually helped me
when I needed it. I will be back!
