Same setting not working

I have two accounts, mine (admin), and a guest account. I
set up a mail account on the admin and it works fine,
retrieves the mail from the comcast servers to my inbox,
on start up. But if I set it up the same way on the guest
account, it doesn't work at all, nothing is retrieved and
it can't be viewed. Why is the guest account not working?
