Sales and Stock

Ok, I need some help trying to get my head around the following...

I am creating a sales and stock control database whereby each customer has a
profile on there profile they need the ability to enter sales which is fine
but this also needs to be linked to stock.

So if an item is sold to a customer then this item sold need to be deducted
from the stock total. The ability to add additional stock is also required.

Does anyone have any suggestions on how this can be done?

My suggestion would be to find a competent developer with experience in
inventory control systems to help you define your business rules and develop
the system for you.

I think there's a database template you can download from the Microsoft site
that will handle stock control you could modify that?
