I am working on a computer that has the recovery disk on a partitioned
drive. I have tried the f8, and f10 key to go into safe mode or reinstall
the operating systems but nothing comes up. Does anyone know how to access
the recovery software on the partitioned drive. I know that f10 brings up
the operating system on the hp computers but this is an off brand name but
the operating system is on the partitioned drive.

Thanks

Contact the computer tech support for info on how to access their recovery
process. Maybe if said what kind of system someone here might be familiar
with it.

There is no universal key. Each manufacturer is different. This isn't a
function of Windows really, it is something the manufacturers do so save
sending a disc (and to reduce piracy).

Try contacting the manufacturer or simply keep hitting keys until it works
(try Esc key and Del keys too)

P.S. (unrelated) I would also not put your e-mail address as your name in
these newsgroups.

Are you using a USB keyboard? If so you may not have USB support at that point in the boot process.
