safely remove hardware

hi people, how are u doing?

my issue: for 'inknown' reasons... somehow safely remove 'got' removed from
control panel... now i am paranoid that using my usb 'ports' is going to
harm my pc... help?

winduz xp spii
several usb's incl. keyboard, psc, digital camera...


that's about the extent of my knowledge...

First of all the safely remove hardware is there so you won't harm the data
contained on removeable storage not to keep your pc safe. You pc will not be
harmed with or without this, it's your removeable storage that is at risk not
keyboards or anything of that nature. This website may help it talks about
removing UPnP can fix your problem. There are many other articles on this
problem on google.
