Safe Mode

I can you start into dos-prompt safe mode, without F8. I
ran msconfig.exe, that lets you start into regular
safemode, but not the one I want. I can never get the F8
mode to work correctly, is there something I'm doing
wrong? It is F8, right? I built my computer, and on start
up, it goes through the BIOS, then to the Windows XP,
green load bar screen. But I'll it F8 constantly, nothing
ever happens.

I don't know what your problem is using the F8 key, but there is one Safe
Mode however you get there.
