How do I start XP windows in safe mode without using the

How do I start XP windows in safe mode without using the
run command msconfig
.

You can access the Advanced Options menu by pressing F8 at
the menu that prompts you to choose an operating system.
(If Windows starts without displaying a startup menu,
press F8 after your system finishes displaying startup
messages from the BIOS but before the Windows logo
appears.)

You can also go directly to Safe Mode by pressing F5
instead of F8 above.

Hope this helps!

When you power up, hit F8 as the BIOS info goes to black screen, to get
the menu and take SAfe Mode from it
