Safe Mode Stalls

When I go to safe mode boot up, everything stops on the
logging screen somewhere at iomdisk or ag440. I've
already tried disabling ag440 and seeing if that solves
the problem per a MS FAQ, but it didn't work. Basically,
I can't do a safemode boot up.

Any suggestions?
