Reading some posts yesterday I came upon an interesting observation by a
fellow who could not access Internet from his full windows (Vista) but could
do it from safe mode.
I still have an XP partition on D: drive which I abandoned back in August
after I lost Internet on it mysteriously. I still have some important files
there that I cannot copy to my Vistas because the software is no longer
supported by MS. One day I want to go back, upgrade that partition via a
solid Internet connection, work on it for a day converting my files and
erase the partition.
How can I get to that nondefault partition in safe mode? If I press F8 I end
up in Vista's safe mode. Vista is now on C: which previously had Win2K I
used last time years ago and now I installed a Vista over it.
I hope the problem is clearly described.
Thanks for any suggestions.
