S-video

I have a Dell Inspiron with Windows XP. Until today, the S-video output has
worked fine when connecting to a TV. - it showed the desktop, icons, and
changed as the display changed. For some reason, something unknown has
changed and the display on the laptop is okay, but the S-video output shows
only the desktop and does not display the icons and the TV display does not
change as the laptop display changes. Any suggestions would be greatly
appreciated.

Thanks in advance.

Go to the Dell website and look for updated drivers. This often happens on
a notebook when you download and install drivers from the graphic card
manufacturer's website.... if you have a notebook you should ONLY use
drivers from the notebook manufacturer's website. Each notebook
manufacturer orders custom graphics chipsets. The generic drivers from the
graphic card manufacturer's do not have these custom options.

Thanks, I'll try that - any idea why it would work in the morning, then I
turned it on at noon and it wouldn't work?

When I turned on the computer in the morning, it worked fine. When someone
else turned it on at noon, they swear they didn't change anything and it
didn't work. Whether something got changed in the multiple monitor screen
while he was trying to fix it, I'm not sure.

Thanks for your help.
