Hello, my lap top has XP, 512 ram, 40 GB, 2ghz. I can
play a DVD movie on it but cant play it on a TV using the
S-video connection. Can someone tell me how to sort this
out. Many thanks, Paul

TVs in the USA use the NTSC standard which is very different
from the methods used by computer monitors. If your laptop
has an S-video output (that is video only, you'll also need
to use the sound card line out) you set it up in the display
properties and may need to use a function key to turn the
S-video port ON. Check the manual that came with the
computer or on-line (download one) and see the section.
If you post your actual make and model, perhaps somebody can
give you more help. Be sure to list what video card it has.
