I want to know how I can view video from my computer onto my TV using the S
video port. Do I have to use any particular program or can I use Media
Player?

I've been fooling with this same thing all afternoon. Went to radio shack and bought a convertor and cable, it appears as though the s video port is not enabled.
I found nothing in the media player or dvd programs to enable it.

What video/graphic card are you using? You need to use a s-video cable
to connect s-video out from the card to the TV s-video in. Then
configure your card to TV.
Best of luck.

You're not using any program but viewing the whole screen. Right click on
the desktop, choose properties then the settings tab. If your graphics card
is Ok there will be a way to to turn the output to "TV" or "Screen and TV"
The output is not great and depends on the screen settings - but usable!
