S Folder in Registry?

Under HKEY_CURRENT_USER 10 folders down I have a folder named S, when I
expand it there is another folder named P, which leads to a folder named
3731772895. I could not find anything about it. In S & P there is "Default
on the right side pane. Within the numbered folder there is the default,
MsgPrivacy and Prompt. Is this supposed to be there? I used to know Windows
very well, but XP has me baffled about what is good and what is bad, what
should be running what shouldnt...its crazy....anyway...are the above folders
supposed to be there?

It would appear to be related to Windows Messenger or MSN
Messenger. You might want to take a look at the following web
sites.

http://www.msghelp.net/showthread.php?tid=41003&pid=415992

http://www.google.com/search?hl=en&q=HKEY_CURRENT_USER\S\P\&btnG=Google+Search

FWIW, I have a similar key in my registry.

HKEY_CURRENT_USER\S\P\796572721

I also have the folder referred to in one of the above threads.

C:\Documents and Settings\Nepatsfan\Application
Data\Microsoft\Windows Messenger\796572721

I'm not worried about it.

Good luck
