I don't know the value of the update but I am downloading it and will try it
out. I will post back on the results.

I don't really know if I need all the patches contained in it.
I burned the files to cd but could not get anything to install. Not sure
what I am doing wrong.

Hey dude, that is not a genuine update. Look like you get kicked in the
ass by the good old trusty trojan horse.

Hello Computer Geeks
I would like to know the value of this update. Is there anybody out
there find it useful?

To all,

It's meant to be used for slipstreaming WinXp, specifically using nLite.

Drew

Thanks for the warning. Its as good as deleted! Luckily I never installed
anything.

Charles,

You need to add this update to a WinXP slipstream using nLite. It's made
specifically to only be used with nLite. You will need to download & install
nLite, download the Post XP2 update & have a WinXP CD with at least SP1.
Using nLite, you start a slipstream session & insert the Post XP2 update
into the slipstream as an 'Add-on'.

I don't claim to support the update, but if downloaded from
http://www.ryanvm.net/msfn/updatepack.html I highly doubt there's a virus in
it. However, I can't say anything for the 'majorgeeks' download. There's a
whole forum dedicated to it.

Actually, I believe that it's meant to be slipstreamed using the RyanVM
Integrator. Using nLite is an alternative. See these pages for more details:

I would *never* choose to download Microsoft updates from anywhere but
Microsoft. I think anyone who does this is just looking for trouble. Even if
there's no malware in it (and that may not be a good assumption), you should
never assume that you want all the various individual updates it contains.

Thanks guys for your input!

...Anyway I have not touched anything yet in that compressed 7Z file .
But this RyanVM is interesting,,,,hope somebody can come out with
more ideas related to this....
I did never know what N lite means and how does it differs from the
standard version.

For complete information on RyanVM including downloads of the latest updates,
integrator, and add-ons, visit the official website.

For a comparable application, check out AutoPatcher.
