runtime errors using IE6 SP2 on my computer

Alain Bourgeois

Dear all,

I am using Win XP pro SP2 (I also have panda internet security suite), I
have all updates downloaded.

On my computer, surfing on some commercial sites (www.nierle.com for
example),
I often get a messageBox telling
A Runtime Error has occured.
Do you want to Debug?
Line: 593
Error: unterminated string constant

debugging shows an error on

src="pic/3290t.jpg" border="0" height="100" width="100"></a></td>

What I don't undestand:
1. I don't see any error
2. This error only happens on my computer and not on other ones running
xp pro sp2.

Cheers,
Alain

Hi Alain,

This error is a scripting error on the page you are trying to view. It has
to be fixed by the website developers.

You can tell IE to ignore these type of errors by changing IE settings in
Internet Options> Advanced tab - "Disable script debugging" and "Display a
notification about every script error"

Regards.
