Runtime Error in IE6

I am running Windows XP home with service pack 2. I was using Internet
Explorer 6.0 when it froze up, and I had to end the task. Now, when I try to
open IE, it tells me that there is a runtime error. A dialogue box pops up
and says:

"This application has requested the Runtime to terminate it in an unusual
way. Please contact the application's support team for more information."

Any help with this matter would be greatly appreciated.

When all else fails, HijackThis v1.99.1
(http://aumha.org/downloads/hijackthis.zip) is the preferred tool to use.
It will help you to both identify and remove any hijackware/spyware. **Post

If the procedures look too complex - and there is no shame in admitting this
isn't your cup of tea - take the machine to a local, reputable and
independent (i.e., not BigBoxStoreUSA) computer repair shop.
