Runs all existing software on the Vista X64 version?

I wonder if all my existing software runs on the Vista X64 version. I want to
try this because the vista x86 version won't install well on my motherboard
with a AMD 64 bits processor and I want to see if this works better with the
x64 version of Vista.

You won't know unless you try or tell us the name of the applications. If
they 16 bit applications, they won't work, if they 32 bit applications with
16 bit installers and uninstallers, they won't work either.

Hi All,
I'm half way getting my system back giving x64 back and so far so good...
much butter than the first time... I would say so far... not much diffrence
than Windows XP 64-bit pro ... but remember I'm saying so far.

Compatibility is pretty much the same as XP Professional x64, although Vista
x64 should include more device drivers and more support for IHVs. The big
difference between both versions, Vista x64 requires signed drivers.

Office 2007 works just fine, beta drivers that do work with Vista x64 are
possibly signed or temporarily being allowed.

Is it not possible to turn off the signing requirement?
