Running VPC 2007 on Vista Home Premium - it works!

Although MS site says that Home Premium is not a supported OS for using VPC
2007, I have successfully installed the RC version (on Vista build 5744).
During install and after first running, there's a message to say that a
supported OS is not being used, but the program continues to work. I can
install Windows XP SP2 from a CD image, haven't tried running Vista as a
virtual OS.

"Supported" means assistance from Microsoft Product Support Services, not
whether or not it runs. Not supported means that the user must use
self-help support options if he runs into problems and that there is no
assurance that use of the product will not lead to the loss of important
data. Whether or not a product is supported is mostly a matter of whether
or not the product has been rigorously tested.

Thanks, I was under the impression from what I read that the program
wouldn't actually run!

You're welcome.

It runs quite well on the home editions of both Vista and XP. But there is
no guarantee that some future update to the home editions or to VPC itself
might upset things.

I finally got further but got this really stupid error
The portion of your e-mail address that follows the @ symbol is part of a
"reserved domain" such as live.com, hotmail.com, msn.com or passport.com.
Please type a different e-mail address.
The address can contain only letters, numbers, periods (.), hyphens (-), or
underscores (_).
Those FOOLS I don't have any other email address the portion after the @
symbol is my service provider and CAN NOT be changed and BTW without an @
symbol it is not a valid email address most illogical So why call it a
email address
These people are beyond understanding
