Does anyone know any reason why you would not want to
sysprep a syspreped image?

Depends on your licensed version XP. Some version limit
you to, I can't really remember the exact number, but
something like 4 times, then it trashes the next bootup.

My company has the volume license corporate Select (I call
it green-label decaf) and I've sysprep'd an image about 20
times (without fixing my original problem, but also
without trashing it's ability to boot.)
There are different kinds of OEMs. Especially the early
OEMs could give you a problem. Maybe all of them.

Hello Daveo,
You can run sysprep multiple times. There should be no limit to the number
of times that it is run with the following exceptions:
you should not run Sysprep on OEM media, you should only be running sysprep
on volume or retail media.
The Activation period can only be reset three times by sysprep, after that
the activation period cannot be reset.
If you have problems running sysprep multiple times we would like to know
about it.
Thanks,
Darrell Gorter[MSFT]
