Running Sum - Over Group

I have an Access 2003 report drawing data from a query regarding daily
project accomplishments. There are four groups for sorting purposes. Groups
are: Date; Report Number; Project Number; and Month Code.

Detail information includes all the project data for each day of operations.
I have one group footer (Project Number). The Project Number may be the
same for several days or operations. Everything works perfectly EXCEPT - The
report should show a "Running Sum" for the "Project Number" group and change
when the project number changes. I have the "Running Sum" for fields in the
footer set at "Over Group". In "Sorting and Grouping" I have "Group On" set
to "Each Value", "Group Interval" set at "1", and "Keep Together" set to
"Whole Group".

My problem is that the "Running Sum" for the "Project Number" group sums
"Over All" so it accumulates for the entire report period. The "Project
Number" is the same for only from one to as many as five or six days. I
believe I have tried everything I can think of (which maybe isn't all that
much) and just cannot get a corrrect "Running Sum" over just the "Project
Number" group instead of the entire report.

Any suggestions?

The RunningSum text box shoud be in the detail section, not
the group footer section. The group footer text box's
expression is just =[running sum text box]
