running older programs on 2000

Hello all,

I have this program that my company refuses not to
upgrade. The program was designed for 98. When I
install the program on a XP Pro machine I can use the
compabilitiy tab to run the program like a windows 98.
However I also have to run the program on a couple 2000
professional machines. Here is my questions

1. Does 2000 Proffessional have a compability tab like
xp and if they do where is it?

2. If 2000 professional doesnt, is there a way to run a
program in 2000 like it was a windows 98 machine or will
I have to upgrade my remaining 2000 professional machines.

regsvr32 %windir%\AppPatch\slayerui.dll
to enable application compatibility mode.

What does this driver do? I need to switch to Windows98 compatibility mode in Windows2000 to upload a file, but I don't see how to execute the switch, or how to restore to normal mode when the upload is complete.

Hmmm. I tried the dll, and now my system thinks it is Windows XP. The problem I'm trying to bypass is in Windows2000 and XP. I need to reverse that dll.

Too much info, not enough knowledge on my part to use it wisely

1.) Enables application compatibility mode

2.) To unregister the dll;
