Running music during the entire slide show

I have Powerpoint 97 and I have created a slide show and have all the timings down just like I want. I also have a song I want to play with the show from beginning to end. I have the show timed to end with the music. The music is downloaded off a CD (via Media Player) and I have it saved in a file in My Music. I can't figure out how to 'add' the music to the show so that when the show starts - the music starts with it. I'll also say that I was able to get the music to play during the first slide, but it quits when the second slide comes up.

RonnieB....you're asking the wrong guy here! I don't have a clue. About this 'inserting music' thing into PP, what I don't understand and is very frustrating is that, if PP comes with Microsoft Windows, which includes the Windows Media Player, why is it, of all things, that Media Player runs and saves audio files as wma, yet PP won't play a wma file - only wmv!!! I'm ready to shoot PP and all I want to do is take a song and plug the danged thing into a slide show and make it work!

And oh by the way RonnieB, thanks for the info. Will tell you though I've done all this a million different ways only to get some kind of jibberish that the freakin' file don't exist. I'm telling you it IS there and I can reach out and touch it, smell it, taste it, feel it, but I'll be danged if I can get it to play when I want it to!

Geetesh, well, I tried the span thing, now it says there was a problem accessing the file with Accessibility Wizard.

Try using that sound in another presentation (preferably new) - does it work
or not?
