16-bit MS-DOS Subsystem error while installing or running a DOS application http://windowsxp.mvps.org/16bit.htm
Hi, I am also tring to run DOS Autocad Version 11 on xp. If I understand you
by loading DOS 6.0 and Autocad on a removable drive, I should be able to run
the program. edboro
No, what they're saying is you install DOS on the flash drive the same
way you would on a hard drive. You just have to set your BIOS to enable
booting legacy operating systems from removable devices, if it even supports
that function at all. However, you may have difficulty running DOS or
AutoCAD on modern motherboards, processors, and video cards as there maybe
hardware instruction calls that newer boards no longer support. Though I
don't see why you'd want to use such antiquated software anyhow.
