I recently decided to get a new hard drive and use the existing one as
a backup disk. However, it contains an application that I would still
like to use. Is there any way of configuring this program to run from
the slave?

Thanks for your help

Install the application on the slave drive. You cannot just move the
application.

It depends on the program. You may need to reinstall the program to the primary hard drive because the programs files are not aware of the change to the drive letters and may be looking on the wrong drive for critical files.

You may also be able to simply create a shortcut to the program and place it on the new primary hard drive.

programs like system mechanic have a move software feature. It takes a
while, but it will relocate your software where you want it and it will
handle the details of modifying the registry, dll's....etc....
